Golf Sens Golf!

The Senators rid themselves of a couple of salaries this weekend. First it was Bonk then Lalime. They picked up a couple of high round draft picks in return. This makes it seem more likely we’ll pick up Hasek in the near future. I don’t think the club is confident enough to go with the duo of Prusek and Emery just yet.

Hackity, hackity, hack…

While playing with my mobile phone blog image upload script I decided it would be a cool idea to have the script also publish the image to my photo gallery as well. Rather than ripping through the Gallery internals, I decided it would be quicker to write a web client to walk through the existing UI. I settled on Perl and WWW::Mechanize. What an amazing piece of software. It got me thinking that we should use it to regression test some of our non java web user interfaces at work.

New Toy

I got a new toy last night. This morning I hacked together a quick and dirty script that lets me publish my latest pic to my blog. I know it’s pretty geeky but it’s also a lot of fun.

T Minus Five Minutes – SpaceShipOne

So SpaceShipOne is scheduled for launch in the Mojave desert pretty much now. Best of luck… I can’t wait for my turn.

Mmm Pho

I biked downtown on the Haro tonight. I’ve been spending a bit too much time on the road bike lately so it was kind of nice to take it out and bounce around a bit. Dropped off some books for Willy then went for Pho with the HPV crew. Met up with Andrew for a coffee on the way home. It was a pleasant end to the day.

I’ve got to bike into work tomorrow which is something I should be doing every day but I’ve been too lazy. Steves car broke down, so I’ve lent them the Echo until it’s fixed.
